Kenny, Zavaglia and Gattuso on the Aquilani Situation

Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish was as cryptic as ever when asked about the Alberto Aquilani situation over the weekend:

“I’m not even sure about my own future at the club so how can I talk about someone else’s?”

Meanwhile, Aqua’s agent Franco Zavaglia gave the Italian press the latest update on his client’s future, and stated there has been no movement from AC Milan:

“The Rossoneri, for now, haven’t stepped forward for him. There were the words of Galliani, but no other signal. As a result, I can’t tell you what kind of offer the club could potentially make for my client – in regards to a loan or a permanent switch. We’ll have to just wait.”

AC Milan midfielder Gennaro Gattuso also talked about Aquilani. He told the Gazzetta dello Sport:

“The way I see it, Milan need a new man in midfield. We more or less all have the same characteristics in that area. We need a player who can get the team moving a bit more. Perhaps Aquilani pushes up more, while we all know Montolivo, as he has been an Italian international for years. Aquilani and Montolivo are both players of great quality.”
