Are Liverpool really that far away from Manchester United? The Pros and Cons of this Striker Signing: This Week on Live4Liverpool.com

|

All in all it has been a fantastic transfer window for Liverpool. Although we could have gone without losing Raul Meireles on the last day of the window to Chelsea, the Reds did nearly all what they set out to do at the start of the summer. They got rid of all the dead-wood selling £25million worth of players and taking £30million off the wage bill, while also filling 4 key areas, at left back, left winger, centre back and a striker, as well as acquiring Jordan Henderson and Charlie Adam. Winning convincingly against Bolton last weekend was also fantastic. Blogs this week have generally reflected on Liverpool’s transfer window activity and what lies in store for the future. Make sure to check out Mark Wilson’s article “What does his sale mean for Liverpool’s midfield?” as well as David Tyrer’s blog on how close the Reds are now to Man U in “Are United really that much better than us?” Many thanks to David Tyrer and Mark Wilson as always for writing for the site this week. Have fun reading!
