Negatives
1) 4-4-2 – I am not against playing the formation per se, but we certainly saw its limitations when we played Tottenham a couple of weeks ago. Especially if a couple of the midfield players are not too adept at tackling or tracking back (Adam and Henderson), the backline can be too readily exposed. For me, it should be used but not in every match, and we faced the same trouble against Wolves last season when they played 4-5-1. With a lot of teams playing 4-5-1 these days, we are likely to get outnumbered in midfield while playing the system, so it is essential that we ensure that we have players who keep possession and are adept at retrieving it.
2) Absence of Maxi, Bellamy and Kuyt – All three played an integral role in what Dalglish described as some “exceptional” football in the first half against Brighton in the Carling Cup. With all three absent from the starting lineup against Wolves, and Maxi not even in the squad, I would like to see Kenny reward these players with more starting berths because of the good attacking football they can produce.

Negative 1: There was nothing wrong with the formation – confirmed by the win.
Negative 2:Can’t believe people actually rate Maxi…and Bellamy was never going to play because of his fitness – The way and style he plays requires a lot of energy and thus he couldnt play another game of football after the Brighton match
I completely agree, i cant understand why people beleive maxi is good enough to get in ahead of any of the liverpool team, starting or on the bench, sell him… and fast.
A Says nothing wrong with the formation because we won, are you serious, this is the same formation Spurs mauled us with last week and Chelsea City and Utd will maul us with especially if we have Adam part of a 2. He is possibly the unfittest player in the Premiership, by the second half of games his legs are gone.
Some people just cant appeciate good technical players like Maxi, I bet you were delighted Meireles was sold as he doesn’t fly into tackles
The problem with Henderson: I am unsure if he is a man or woman. He is built like a woman, behaves like a woman, runs as if he wears a skirt, waves his hands like a woman and nags his team mates like a woman. He is incredibly lazy and should not be playing in a man’s league.
