Ajax defender Jan Vertonghen has spoken out about how he was unsettled by transfer rumours linking him with a move away from the Amsterdam Arena this summer:
“I know I have played better, but I feel happier than I did last summer. To doubt myself now, would be the worst thing I could do.”
The Belgian centre-back has been linked with Liverpool and Arsenal in recent days.
