The Premier League, perhaps more than ever before, appears to be going through a crisis of quality. With so many teams simply there to make up the numbers, the amount of poor players currently operating in the top flight has grown the past few seasons. While it may be difficult to pinpoint exactly what makes a player ‘poor’, a mixture of age, lack of technical ability and pace are all certainly factors when considering the issue.
