The most pleasing aspect of Liverpool’s season so far

|

There are no prima donnas at Anfield who are going to kick up a fuss and complain if they are not in the first team. At the beginning of last season, when he was still a Liverpool player and attempting to engineer a move away from the club, Javier Mascherano refused to play in a game. You could not imagine any player in the current squad doing that these days.

Another example of a player kicking up a fuss can be seen at Sunday’s opponents, Manchester City, in the shape of Carlos Tevez. After failing to secure a move away during the summer, he has since refused to warm up in a Champions League fixture and is now counting the days until he can leave in the January transfer window.

With all the big fees they are handing out, it is to be expected that there will be a few big-headed stars who throw their toys out of the pram. You’re much less likely to see that at Anfield however. Dalglish is not a man who will tolerate players who are not going to work out to be in the first team, and our team spirit will be all the stronger for it.

I am currently studying Sports Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire. I have recently finished my first year of the course, and I am hoping to hone my skills by writing pieces for live4liverpool.

I have supported Liverpool since the age of 6, and in that time my favourite player has been Robbie Fowler. My favourite match was the 2005 Champions League final against AC Milan.

downing should be dropped always for maxi.maxi has a soccer brain and is composed.downing goes for power where he should just place the ball.yesterday he could have scored those two chances he sent begging.the sooner keny realises that maxi is better than stew the better.

The loss of Gerrard and Carragher by injury has been the most positive thing this year. If they didn’t know it, they now know the other lads can do it without them now.

The defence and midfield working well together. Skyrtl and Agger coming good as i thought they would, and Lucas keeping the idiots quiet. The new lads starting to find their feet.
