This £20m deal would be something of a coup if it happened

|

His impressive rise to stardom continued when he was included in Brazil’s squad for the Copa America, and appeared in all four of their games as a substitute. He scored his first goal for his country against Argentina in September, and is seen as one of Brazil’s brightest young prospects.

While Lucas clearly has potential, there are a number of factors that could dissuade Liverpool from making a move. Few Brazilians have excelled in England, with our own Lucas one of the few who effectively settled into the English style of play. As well as this, given the current status of the sides also bidding for the midfielder, who can offer Champions League football, at this moment in time it looks unlikely that Lucas would pick a move to Anfield when he could be playing at the Bernabeu or the San Siro.

He would definitely be an exciting addition to the ranks at Anfield, and were he to properly adapt he could be a star player for many years. Certain aspects of our recent transfer policy suggest that this move could take place, but it would be something of a coup if it did.

I am currently studying Sports Journalism at the University of Central Lancashire. I have recently finished my first year of the course, and I am hoping to hone my skills by writing pieces for live4liverpool.

I have supported Liverpool since the age of 6, and in that time my favourite player has been Robbie Fowler. My favourite match was the 2005 Champions League final against AC Milan.

Hmmmm he is an exciting potential super star and I would probably make an attempt to sign if I was in charge but one word of caution: for for the background of this Lucas now compare it to the background of our Lucas before we signed him. The autobiography would read identical so far but our Lucas couldn’t translate the as an attacking midfielder in our league and same could happen again.

The Fenway Group must have a lot more money than judgement if they are prepared to allow Dalglish to sign again after his simply dreadful summer of madness.Henderson..Adam..Downing..Carroll..ye gods! United fans are laughing their heads off and no wonder.

Martin Badger those players Kenny and Comolli signed for us just helped our boys beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge partcularly Adam (£6 million BARGAIN) and Henderson who was really impressive off the bench and helped us get back into the second half. This is a new team with 9 players at the club for less than a year and main three coaching staff the same things are coming together and we are right up there. A few more correct decisions from officials or a bit more luck and we’d be in 2nd only a point or 2 off City so shut up and go back to championship manager or wherever you came from.
