THE Reds will begin life under Brendan Rodgers by kicking off against Steve Clarke’s West Bromwich Albion at the Hawthornes in the Premier League on Saturday 18th August for the new 2012/13 season.

The new fixtures amazingly see the Reds play their first three home games against Manchester City, Arsenal and Manchester United, giving Brendan Rodgers a tough start to life at Anfield.

The first Merseyside derby takes place at Goodison on October 27th with the home fixture not until May 4th.

After the opening away tie, Liverpool will face the champions at Anfield for the remaining August fixture (25th), then open September at Anfield v Arsenal, go away to Sunderland, before returning to Anfield to take on Manchester United.

New manager Brendan Rodgers returns to the Liberty Stadium take on Swansea City in November (24th), whilst the Reds have an away fixture v Stoke City on Boxing Day but will play at Anfield on New Year’s Day against Sunderland.

At this stage, the fixture list is subject to changes, especially in light of Europa League matches – in which any Premier League fixture will be moved to the Sunday (if originally scheduled for Saturday).

Jimmy Areabi (Editor) - @fantasista1077: Huyton raised like Steven Gerrard, football has been my passion since the time I received a Kenny Dalglish badge as a toddler, and I've followed the Reds ever since – something that was easier during the 80s, when I worshipped John Barnes! I've produced work for many football media outlets & am now happy to run a major site on the club I love - providing our fans with a voice, and to bring as much information and news on the club as possible.
Having played football all my life, I aim to continue longer than Stanley Matthews...
