1. Fabio Borini

|

Rodgers’ first signing, and clearly a player that he wanted to bring in from the start, Borini will be important to the way Rodgers wants to play, and the increase in goals he wants to see. He comes with a reputation as a Rodgers-type player who can play in a 4-3-3 formation, he scored 6 goals in 9 games for Swansea and, whilst I think it’s really important not to overhype new players or expect too much of them straight away, I also think that Rodgers has high hopes for him as part of the team he wants to create. If Rodgers is right, then Borini will get chances, and should score goals.

Jimmy Areabi (Editor) - @fantasista1077: Huyton raised like Steven Gerrard, football has been my passion since the time I received a Kenny Dalglish badge as a toddler, and I've followed the Reds ever since – something that was easier during the 80s, when I worshipped John Barnes! I've produced work for many football media outlets & am now happy to run a major site on the club I love - providing our fans with a voice, and to bring as much information and news on the club as possible.
Having played football all my life, I aim to continue longer than Stanley Matthews...
