A New Statistical Weapon In Football Betting

THIS season in particular, it seems like statistics have become increasingly important in football – especially for Brendan Rodgers’ Liverpool.

Despite more than a few disappointing scorelines, most Reds fans have become obsessed with the stats the tiki-taka brand of football now brings to the club, trying to find the positives in matches drawn or lost, as a sign of progress.

Stats like overall possession, shots on target, key passes, pass completion rates, the number of nutmegs Luis Suarez achieves, or the number of pounds-per-minute Joe Cole earns whilst on the field of play.

At the end of 90 minutes however (probably more if the match occurs at Old Trafford), we all know that only two stats matter: number of goals scored, versus the number of goals conceded. But whilst the true story of a match cannot simply be summed up by a collection of numbers, these numbers can feed us invaluable information; especially if you enjoy a good old bet on the weekend’s matches taking place around the leagues.

Paying attention to the numbers – or the stats – can definitely give you the edge in your bid to beat the bookie. But unless you’ve got the magical memory of Derren Brown, or the super-nerd brain power of Steven Hawking, you’ll need help in analysing, then storing all the valuable nuggets of information.

That’s were BETEGY come in. They already do the hard work, so you don’t have to.

To quote their website: “BETEGY is a genius algorithm-driven service that provides precise football predictions using statistical analysis. This algorithm uses both present and past data to predict football matches with an optimum accuracy of approximately 80 %.”

In a nutshell, and with the risk of sounding like Brendan Rodgers, using BETEGY gives you a better chance of winning, through use of their statistical information. They are particularly handy if you place accumulator bets, and are not just limited to the Premier League, with stats and tips on every game in La Liga, Bundesliga, Serie A and Ligue 1 also.

Obviously all football bets (and betting in general) carry a huge element of luck – especially with the match officials Liverpool have had this season! But having an immense array of stats at your disposal may help tip the balance in your favour, and profit from those greedy bookies!

Check out Betegy for yourself – I’m off to place an accumulator!

Jimmy Areabi (Editor) - @fantasista1077: Huyton raised like Steven Gerrard, football has been my passion since the time I received a Kenny Dalglish badge as a toddler, and I've followed the Reds ever since – something that was easier during the 80s, when I worshipped John Barnes! I've produced work for many football media outlets & am now happy to run a major site on the club I love - providing our fans with a voice, and to bring as much information and news on the club as possible.
Having played football all my life, I aim to continue longer than Stanley Matthews...
