Carroll West HamANDY Carroll’s future at Anfield looks set to be over, according to the Liverpool Echo.

Liverpool are expected to confirm the departure of Carroll later this week, after the Reds accepted a £15million bid from West Ham.

Carroll had been considering his options, with rumours suggesting he would reject the personal terms in order to impress Brendan Rodgers at Anfield. But it seems the forward has accepted he is not part of Brendan Rodger’s plans, and looks set to join the London club this week.

The England striker spent the season on loan at Upton Park, where he scored 7 goals for Sam Allardyce’s side.

Carroll’s former club Newcastle have reportedly told the forward that they have no intentions of bidding for the 24-year-old, who left the club in 2011.

Since his £35million move to Liverpool, Carroll scored just 6 league goals for the Reds, and struggled to fit the style of play Liverpool wanted. However, it seems the Anfield club will only get a third of the transfer fee it cost them to bring the striker from Newcastle.

Carroll looks set to miss the start of next season with a heel injury, which he picked up in West Ham’s 4-2 victory over Reading on the final day of the season.

At last, the best for both big Andy and Liverpool. Its sad that A.C didnt fit in BR’s plan. He was perfoming well while on loan. The determination was there but it was just too late. At least he didnt stab us at the back like the certain ‘someone’.

who did that maths?? 15 million is definitely not a 3rd of 35 million

Anyone who has a pop at Carroll can do one. He didn’t ask for his price tag and performed better than most people ever gave him credit for.

    Good luck to him.

good luck andy carroll. hampered by inflated price tag, never should of left newcastle. injuries cost him at liverpool not to mention lack of decent service. hopefully comes good at west ham, he is a cracking player once fit, just takes a little too long to get back to 100pc after lay off. be glad to see him playing regularly, will be good for england to have another option up front. far too many english prospects not playing regular football, sinclair, sturridge (before lfc) to name a couple. too much talent going to waste. sinclair to LFC for 6 million. bragain!!!

barry……..couldn’t agree more with you. i am sick to death of english players being overlooked for foreigners. why aren’t we signing tom ince or gary hooper or alex mccarthy? been a liverpool fan for 37 years but depending on who rodgers signs this summer will determine whether i bother watching them next season. if the likes of henderson, sterling, kelly and wisdom don’t get a look in i won’t be watching. simple as that. i can’t stand watching a load of overrated foreigners running around anfield or any other club’s pitch anymore. sick of it
