LIVERPOOL are in discussions with French defender Aly Cissokho, according to talkSPORT.
The Valencia left-back has expressed his desire to play in the Premier League after just 1 season with the La Liga side:
“In the second part of the season I don’t have as much playing time, unlike the first. Are English clubs my future? I am proud that my name is matched with these clubs but I’m fine here. I just hope to play more,” Cissokho said.
“Liverpool? I have never hidden that the Premier League is the league that attracts me the most. It’s pleasing to see my name linked to that of the Reds. They’re a great club, and not just anyone can wear that shirt. For now, however it is just rumours.”
The 25-year-old was close to joining Everton last summer, as a potential replacement for Leighton Baines, if the English defender was to leave Goodison Park.

But instead Cissokho left Lille for Valencia for €5million.
Brendan Rodgers could bring Cissokho to Anfield for just £7million, as questions remain still unanswered over Jose Enrique’s future at the club.
Cissokho played in both of Valencia’s Champions Legaue Group Stage matches against Lille this season, as the Spanish side won both the home and away tie.

Where`s this doubt over enrique come from? Thought the boy was doin alright. Could be a big season for him.
Enrique and the club need senior more quality player s in each Rome with not the squad but the team to start with !!!!
Cissohko is a great idea and with Brenden giving him more confidence he could go on to be a great 1st team option that makes Jose perform week in week out
Flanagan should be sold, Coates should be gone to, wisdom not ready yet, Robinson not good enough yet needs another year out on loan like Suso does.
Cissohko and Enrique as 1st team options at left back would be great, cissohko can operate in a 3 at the back and play more as a wing back !
Let him leave. Liverpool should find us great left back.

Enrique is going no where. He’s happy here in liverpoolfc. He’s our best 3 and he has great skill and strength and coordinations too.

Just because we bring someone for a position which already has a regular doesn’t mean the regular will be sold.Enrique so far has done a good job in his given position and by the concluded season end he even did some splendid work as a wing back. So, the reported arrival of either Ally Sissokho or someone else will provide depth.Not a replacement. This season we are not in any European challenge so have to concentrate in domestic. And BR knows he cant afford to give reasons anymore for any failures.Top four and any one of two trophies if possible.So every position needs to have few capable players who can perform at the highest level when needed.
