LiverpoolLIVERPOOL forward Luis Suarez has insisted he won’t be thinking about leaving the club during the Confederations Cup.

The Daily Star are reporting that the Uruguayan forward says he is focused on the tournament, and isn’t aiming to use it just to impress potential buyers.

Suarez has been linked with an exit out of Brendan Rodgers’ team over recent weeks, after reports in the Uruguayan media claiming he was unhappy with the English media, and the criticism he receives from them.

But the 26-year-old has insisted he is focused on helping Uruguay this month:

“I’ve come to play for Uruguay and I’m not thinking what I can do to benefit a transfer.” Suarez said.

“My only goal is to win the cup.”

Liverpool chiefs are yet to hear directly from Suarez or his agent that he wants to leave the club, and aren’t expected to sell the player unless he hands in a transfer request, and even then they may still reject his desire to exit the club.

Suarez scored 23 league goals for the Reds before receiving a 10 match ban for biting Branislav Ivanovic.

Uruguay kick off their Confederations Cup against Spain on Sunday, in the first of their group matches. Suarez and company will then face Nigeria and Tahiti in the group stage.

You guyz should do what ever it takes to keep that guy, we should not loose good players like that. liverppol is a big team which deserves big players.

    • Jas says:

How can you keep a player that DOESN’T WANT TO PLAY for you? And why would you. With his current mentality you really think he’ll be the same player as last season? Just putting him on the pitch doesn’t mean he is going to give a hundred percent!
I’d of thought this was obvious!

  • elsse blessing says:

Lfc should not let him go, even though he’s forcing himself out of the club, coz he is a very good player to let go just like that, the best of epl for now soooo hoooot ”YNWA”

  • Ismaeel olaide says:

Liverpool should try their best to hold the guy for improvement our club

  • SuaRed says:

If he puts in a request £50m get rid. The trouble this fella has caused and the lack of respect to Liverpool and their support is a discrace! His continual stance that he’s a victim has started to irritate me! The victims are the Liverpool fans!

Shape up or ship out Luis! Nobody is bigger than LFC and I have no worries…you can and will be replaced.

Also think if we get a decent offer 50mil- 60mil we should release him , I don’t want to loose him and the club certainly don’t want him to go but what is the use of having a player if he is not happy , I really hopes he stays but if he want to go let him be . YNWA

    Dear Suarez,
We know it has been a very rough year for you and family. We feel your pain. We cry with you and we, the millions and millions of Reds fans and the LFC, will continue to walk this journey with you. We have been through the darkest days of the club’s history in the last few years but we never gave up. We believe our faithful Captain and all passionate players like you, will bring LFC back to it’s glory days. Next season may well be our turning point. We want you to be part of it as you had been working so hard in the last two years for us. You deserve to be rewarded. So stay and let’s continue the journey together. Remember, You will Never Walk Alone!

    Yours Sincerely,
A faithful Reds fan from thousands of miles away.

Sorry bud. But I think you are wasting your time. In his latest interview he said Liverpool should drop their asking price of £40 million!

  • Vitalis says:

Dear LFC,I wouldnt want Luiz Suarez to leave the club now,Suarez is a world class player and a fantastic guy, atleast with the addition of the new signings that will be soon completed, the likes of Henrihk,Lago Aspas,Kolo Toure and Luiz Alberto with Suarez in the front, surely LFC will qualify for next season UEFA CHAMPIONS LEAGUE. UP LFC,U will neva walk alone.

  • Raam says:

Even if he is persuaded to stay; he wont be the same player we used to watch. So, it will be the best for both club and himself to let him go if theres good offer. Let him feel how ‘forgiving’ the spanish media is.

  • robert peter says:

please sell him as quick as possible, we need stability which is vital for preparations for next season!

  • k says:
