SpainLIVERPOOL FC attacker Daniel Pacheco is being lined-up as a replacement for Iago Aspas at Celta Vigo.

The Spanish club are said to be in talks with the youngster, and according to the Daily Mail, is set to join on loan at first, eventually leading to a permanent deal.

Pacheco was left behind for Liverpool’s pre-season tour of the Far East and Australia after featuring in last Saturday’s friendly win versus Preston North End.

The young Spaniard was seen as quite the capture back in 2007, when he chose to join the Reds from Barcelona’s famed academy, but has found it difficult to make the step-up to first-team level, appearing only 17 times in all competitions since making that move.

Even after a loan spell at Norwich City in the 2011-2012 season, Pacheco was overtaken in the Liverpool pecking order by new starlets, Raheem Sterling and fellow Spaniard Suso last season, who both featured more times.

Making just 3 appearances for the Reds during this period, he eventually found more playing time by taking another loan move; this time back to his homeland, with Huesca, where he scored 5 goals in 19 games.

Can’t believe Liverpool have left reina go out on loan I’m devastated, considering OUR manager said he won’t be going nowhere it’s competition lmao, Saurez be next 40 mil I bet

  • Andrew says:

All good news over paid reina and as good as saurez is he is just bad news

    • stevie says:

Why only a loan? Napoli have just got 50 odd million for cavani. Can’t they afford to buy him?

      • Johnny says:

Reina is set to go to Barca next season, a move he engineered behind our back. We get £10mill next season for him, plus we save £6mill this season on his salary, very good piece of business by LFC.

Wishing him all the best .

I wil hate Rodgers if he fails to land either Bernard or Eriksen……..we need one of. Creative playmakers…….act fast coach or the blame shall be on your head……….YNWA

  • mduduzi says:

Brendan Rodgers should only keep happy players who buy into his philosophy. Players who are willing to work hard to earn champions league football not aka cannibal(Suarez) who want to take short cuts. Rodgers mustn’t allow him to join any english club. If Suarez joins a British team will the press treat as a king now that he is no longer a Liverpool player? Suarez should sort out his disgusting behaviour

  • John says:

All the best. It don’t make sense to get a new keeper at 9 million to warm the bench. hopefully the management can get a few good first team signing upon offloading one of the high earner in the club.

The problem is that we’ll likely get shafted on a transfer at the end of the season, hey we’re Liverpool and were more than happy to pay over the odds for players but when it comes to selling them here just throw us a low ball figure and we’ll accept. Reina will go for nowhere near the 9 mil we paid for Mignolet, granted he’s older but IMO hes still a better all round keeper and if you consider most keepers hit there peak in they’re later years he should be worth alot more than we’re likely to get.

  • stephen says:

reina is stl a liverpool player so all does tins u guys are saying r all rummours.

  • Sal khan says:

Reina has been messing up alot last couple of years we need a change plus hes missing his buddy Rafa if he goes good luck to him
I hope we get ben arfa news today we made another approach for him i really like him as a player quick and skillfull thats what LFC need

  • allaboutanfield says:

actually the owners are still balancing thier books. So any players who are overpaid and underperform will b asked 2 leave. sadly we dun have big bucks 2 buy good players anymore.

  • Martyreds says:

Now that we are not getting Shaquiri or Bernard, Astu seems unsure, could I please wake up to the news that we have signed Eriksen! IF we are trying to make Suarez stay one more season surely this move needs to be the next signing! YNWA!

  • abbeyleix kop says:

Pacheco is a great player who needs to find his true position which he couldn’t do under numerous managers at Liverpool best of luck to him at celta hope it all works out 4 u there you deserve a bit of luck to kickstart your career YNWA!!!

Seeing as Reina is likely Barca bound next season, loan seems a good move for him as he wants to play for spains world cup& all you lot blaming Rodgers well think on his dad kept doubt going wether going to Barca & left us in limbo, i like Reina & feel he would stay but it was a risk to far for liverpool

  • Cusacks Cronies says:

First Dirk! Now Pepe! No goodbyes? No Explanation? These are Senior Players! No job for Jamie? Mr Shankley
Would’ve taken Jamie in the Boot room straight away.
This is looking like a Souness clear out. Remember the MESS he left behind. Build Build Build. Ever since he “LEFT” learn from his mistakes! Don’t copy them!
