LFCLIVERPOOL defender Andre Wisdom has described to the club’s official website of playing for Liverpool against Manchester United at Old Trafford as ‘surreal.’

Wisdom will join the Reds’ squad at Old Trafford tonight, when Brendan Rodgers pits his side against David Moyes’ men in their third round Capital One Cup tie.

The number 47 played 20 minutes in Liverpool’s 2-1 defeat last season, Wisdom describing the atmosphere as ‘surreal.’

“It’s a bit surreal, to be honest, Playing at Old Trafford last season, it’s like you’re in a bubble; there are 75,000 fans. It’s a good experience.

“You’ve just got to go there, apply yourself, prepare well for it, give all that you can and come off with no regrets – thinking maybe I should have done that or this.

“Leave everything that you have on the pitch and hopefully it will be the good side. We’re prepared to defend because Manchester United are a good team.”

Wisdom’s second senior appearances against United was his 11 minute cameo at Anfield 3 weeks ago – when Liverpool downed United 1-0 courtesy of a Daniel Sturridge effort.

The defender said: “Coming on against Manchester United is always great, even to be on the bench, It’s Manchester United – you look up to them and you see some of the great players they have. To come on and keep the 1-0 victory was even better.”

This is the 5th time the Reds and United have faced off in the Capital One Cup, with both managers hoping to bounce back from disappointing losses.

Rodgers suffered a surprise 1-0 defeat to Southampton, ending their unbeaten start to this Premiership campaign, whilst David Moyes suffered a humiliating 4-1 mauling from Manchester City.

Hey all, I'm 17 years old and I've only been writing sports articles for a couple of months. I'm an aspiring journalist living in the Anfield area (about 5 minutes from the stadium, seriously, I can hear the roar of the Kop from my house!) I've been a lifelong supporter along with my entire family (except one Uncle, but we don't need to talk about that) and I've followed the Reds through the good and the bad times - and there's been a lot of both. I recently got accepted into college and shall be taking a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Journalism, with this hopefully being the first step towards a full time career in journalism.

Liverpool prayers played very well, but there was misplacement of passes from the midfield because of the absence of courtiho.Gerrard and herderson fails to connect suarez and sturridge to torment man U defence.
