The Independent understands that Swansea City forward Michu has absolutely no intention of leaving the club, despite being linked with big names such as Liverpool and Arsenal.
Michu made his debut appearance for world champions Spain, in their 2-1 World Cup qualifier victory over Belarus and, despite not scoring, was lauded by Spain’s manager, Vincent del Bosque.
Michu’s call-up to arguably the best international side in the world at the time has done nothing to quell speculation that the 27 year old will be the subject of a £20 million in either January or come the end of the season.
Liverpool and Arsenal are the two clubs most prominently linked with making an approach, with the Gunners needing to bring in competition for Oliver Giroud, and the Reds who may need to keep an eye out for a replacement for Luis Suarez, if the Uruguayan does opt for a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid this January.
However, Michu, who this January penned a new four-year deal with the Swans, has claimed that he is not interested in a move to a bigger club and is happy at Swansea.
Speaking to Marca, he said: “I am not thinking about that at the moment, I am enjoying myself very much at Swansea.
“It’s a modest team but we are competing in Europe and we already won a title last season, the first in the club’s history.”
Michu was arguably the bargain of the season in 2012, when Michael Laudrup signed him for a mere £2 million. Michu went on to score 22 goals in all competitions.

Is Michu the same standard as Suarez? Unless someone wants to milk a cash cow when Suarez departs, you replace like for like or better. If Suarez is worth %0 million, then his replacement must be in the 45 – 60 million bracket or we are going backwards again.
