We’re Still Going to Win the League!

1000x665539Are we going to win the league? Back on 13th September 2013 I wrote an article entitled ‘We’re going to win the league’ I hope to claim “I told you so” in May but part of me doesn’t care and wishes the season would just not stop! LFC are playing well; let the hits keep on coming as records fall by the way side game after game.

LFC hit spurs for four as Spurs players ducked the heads as the Red avalanche landed crushing blows. Where did that Bale money go? Anyone seen approx £100 million of spurs money? There was no one there to ‘bale’ them out?! They completely gave up around the 63rd minute. Players just went through the motions while Liverpool players tried a few exhibition tricks. Sturridge nearly scored a scrap book classic, the almost extinct back heal chip! In my opinion that would have been a goal of the season contender!

During the match Mr Tim Sherwood sat in the directors’ box to ‘get a better view’. Mr Sherwood’s reason didn’t seem that compelling to me. It seemed reminiscent of when people cower behind the sofa during painful scenes in horror films. For Spurs it was a painful horror show and I’m sure many needed somewhere to hide their heads before the final whistle as well as after!

What Mr Sherwood should have done is come and sit by me….in the pub, amazing views and replays too! The commentators could have even said something he could have used, general useful advice. They always make their suggestions, Tim may have been inspired. I had a few ideas of my own, such as stop their pocket money! Money is a motivator!

Spurs ‘stars’ where seeing stars as they must have wished they joined LFC. I mean, if we’ve got space for Joe Allen, we can make room in our squad for one or two e.g. Eriksen! If only a few of the spurs players had accepted Mr Rodger’s offer of a fair wage and a chance to learn and perform. Spurs money didn’t buy them a team but a very nice squad.

“Once you put your ideas in place and once the players start to crack it, then we will have success. Money can’t buy that. Teams spend a billion quid and it does not guarantee anything.” Brendan Rodgers

An armchair fan who loves the stadium experience but likes the bread and butter of replays, moronic pundits, a drink in a pub atmosphere. LFC is my religion.

Common sense is missing from football but the situation is always complicated so I endeavour to give opinion and encourage discussion and thought about LFC.

I think we’re gettin carried away too much. We not yet win anything, our last 6 game is like finals. Today all the team fighting in top 3 getting highest point and now we’re celebrating like we won. We must stay down and focus the next game. We all dreaming for title yes all the kops are but please everyone come back to reality for a while and stay calm for god sake! YNWA

Tough game away but W Ham are most likely secure and it’s better playing them outside relegation battle, the dreaded ex player(s) curse could be in full effect tho.

Good luck for the league redmen, we hope you do it.

i know this is from out of left field given the historic importance of this stage of the season but would really still like to see some of our emerging young talent given a run at some stage during games.
we are on the cusp of (hopefully) another lfc dynasty. and the experience some of these young guys will gain would be invaluable in years to come.
if we are ahead of schedule then the exciting potential of our academy talent may be needed to come to the fore a lot sooner. ynwa
