Uruguay: If you’d been born yesterday you’d be forgiven for thinking that Uruguay have taken 23 players to the World Cup called Suarez.
If you’re a more intelligent football fan however, you’ll know that the Uruguayans are much stronger than just Luis Suarez and I believe it will be to many nation’s detriment if they focus solely on Suarez.
That said, with Suarez in the side, Uruguay have the potential to go as far as they want provided the supporting cast don’t just stand back and watch in awe as Liverpool’s brilliant star works his magic.
Given how Suarez still feels hard done by in England, both nations hopes could very much hinge on the performance of Suarez in this pivotal group stage game and, whoever wins, can expect to make a real mark on the competition.
