How Will All 12 Liverpool Players Do At the World Cup?

|

Steven Gerrard, England captain3. Steven Gerrard – This will definitely be Stevie’s final World Cup and perhaps even his last few games in an England shirt. Whatever you choose to believe, Gerrard knows his own mind and he’ll know for certain that it’s his last major tournament and he’ll want to go out with a bang.

Much like elder statesmen before him, such as Zidane, Deschamps and Pirlo, Gerrard will want to make a major impact on the world’s greatest stage before he bows out and what better way to do that than to drag a rag-tag bunch of new, exciting talent and old “Golden Generation” stars to an unlikely World Cup final?

If there is one player capable of dragging a side all the way, then Gerrard is surely it, the only questions is: can his body handle another 7 games after a long, hard season for Liverpool?
