The Reds will look to put QPR to the sword early on, as they did many times last year

With QPR the next stop in the run of league games that should bring 9 point from 9 for Liverpool, Brendan Rodger’s assistant manager, Colin Pascoe, spoke on the plan to go at Redknapp’s side in the way the team that went close to the title last season was well-known for doing.

Pascoe said “We’ve got pace at the top of the team and it’s about moving the ball quickly and trying to get in behind them. Last season we did that a lot, coming out of the blocks.

“The way teams are sometimes set up, they are not so deep. But this year they seem to be a bit deeper and we are trying different things to accommodate that.”

After another injury to Sturridge, the Reds will again look to Mario Balotelli to lead the line along with Raheem Sterling, and probably Adam Lallana. Pascoe went on, “They may set in and break on the counter-attack, so we have got to make sure we are set and ready for that. We’ve got to work the ball quickly at the right times and try to score early.

“I’m sure that they will want to do well, being at home, and try to take the initiative. If they sit in, then sometimes you have to be patient, move the ball quickly and then obviously take your chances when they come along.”

A salient point, perhaps, that Liverpool have to take their chances considering that this is most definitely an area where the current side have been struggling this season, whilst the ails at the back continue.

With Martin Skrtel, Henderson, Lallana, and Sterling returning from successful breaks and the likes of Gerrard, Allen, Can and Balotelli all having had a good couple of weeks of rest, there’s every chance the team can come out of the blocks with pace, speed, and power and build on the 2-1 win over West Brom a couple of weeks ago.

Well, that was another on the list of the worst performances of the season to add to the list. Next up is Real madrid and the talk is, do we start Lambert ahead of ballotelli? After spending a fortune on players over the summer, it has come to this.
Lose that game and we risk joining Europa league football, this season!! Rogers has truly been found out.
