Liverpool’s last 5 Boxing Day results

2013-14 – Manchester City 2-1 Liverpool – A game in which Liverpool gave as good as they got, taking the lead through Philippe Coutinho before succumbing 2-1 by the final whistle. It was against City that we saw that the emerging Liverpool side could hold it’s own against the big guns and would go on to challenge for the title, narrowly missing out to the side they lost to on Boxing Day.
