Hyypia would be ideal and is currently available

A defensive coach It seems obvious to us all apart from the man that matters but the Reds desperately need a defensive specialist or the errors will only continue.

Names such as Clarke, Carragher and Hyypia have come up amongst fans when discussing the potential of bringing in a coach but Rodgers seems hellbent on refusing to budge.

As Rafa Benitez showed some years ago, when bringing in a former star striker to train with Liverpool’s misfiring forwards, admitting there is a problem is the first step towards solving it and Brendan needs to swallow his pride in order to solve Liverpool’s defensive deficiencies.

    Not sure about the Hyppia one, he struggled badly in management. I would go For Pako Ayesteran, an experienced number 2 in Europe, he would massively help BR but it won’t happen though.
