Simon Mignolet – Made a good save early on and maintained his recent high standards throughout. Rating – 7
Glen Johnson – Thankfully, there was little threat to Liverpool from Blackburn, barring a brief spell in either half so Johnson’s defensive capabilities were not overly tested. Rating – 6
Martin Skrtel – The match was barely minutes old when Skrtel was taken out by Gestede. After a long period on the ground, was stretchered off to be replaced by Toure. Get well soon, Martin. Rating – NA
Dejan Lovren – Stepped up in Skrtel’s absence and continued to build on his recent improving displays. Worked well in tandem with Toure, despite the accepted view that they had a poor game. Rating – 6.5
