Simon Mignolet – Made some excellent early saves and, while perhaps at fault for one of the goals, he didn’t get near even Ozil’s free kick. Seems to have finally nailed the basics but needs to start pulling of the sort of saves we see from De Gea and Courtois week in, week out. Rating – 6.5

Our faillure to sign quality players in the summer has come to hunt us badly. A lot of money was wasted on many average players to add up to the batalions we have in henderson, allen & co .
