Skrtel was a rock again against Arsenal last night

GK/Defence

Simon Mignolet – Did nothing wrong in goal, despite seeing 3 goals go past him. As we said a few times last season though, he rarely pulls off those stunning saves that separate the good from the great and save teams going through rough patches. Rating – 5

Dejan Lovren – That was over quickly, wasn’t it? He did well enough in recent weeks but his revival well and truly ended yesterday. Not much else to say, as there’s no justification in kicking a man while he’s down but considering Rodgers has talked him up so much prior to the defeat yesterday, you have to wonder where he goes from here? Rating – 4

Martin Skrtel – Not personally responsible for any of the goals but with several of his team mates in defence having a day to forget Skrtel wasn’t able to hold things together on his own. It will be interesting to see who partners him after the international break. Rating – 5

Nathaniel Clyne – The least culpable, perhaps, for any of the shambles that was Liverpool’s defence on Saturday. As Clyne has grown into his role within the team he’s become one of the most effective outlets from the back as proved again against West Ham. Rating – 6

Joe Gomez – From our man of the match last week to being only marginally better than a disastrous Lovren this week. It’s been a tough 24 hours for Gomez. He’ll learn from his experience and hopefully Saturday’s horror show won’t affect him too much. Rating – 4.5

I agree with the comment – we were out-managed, not for the first time. West Ham manager talked about parking his bus, West Ham did in the last game.

    Will we every learn?

Mr. Rodgers , please get off your high horse and admit you made a mistake with Lovren, push Gomez to the centre and put Moreno at left back .

A bit harsh on Lucas. Rodgers set up with Lucas, Milner and Can as a 3 almost in line and doing similar jobs. Given the shocking tactics he had to operate in I thought he did more than OK.

This has to be the worst Liverpool team ever

Rodgers fail in managing his substitutions well because as far as I’m concerned moreno was not the right player to come on for can when we are chasing the game with Ings and Origi on his bench.

200 million spent on average players…..brendans sadly not the manager he thinks he is……
we could be another 3 years from the title…..even if we get the right man asap.

Rodgers must put moreno on the left back and gomez on the centre back
