GK/Defence
Simon Mignolet – It’s hard to really fault Mignolet for all but one goal recently so the Liverpool number one should retain his place for the match tonight.
Joe Gomez – The young English star should be given an opportunity to pair with two experienced centre back tonight against what should be less testing European opposition.
Kolo Toure – With Martin Skrtel no doubt rested for this game, it’ll be up to the ever popular Kolo Toure to make up the bulk of Liverpool’s experience at the back.
Mamadou Sakho – Sakho should continue his impressive recent run at the heart of a back three. The more games he plays back to back, at present, the more likely he is to build up to his best form at the club and his ability on the ball from the back will be much more appreciated in Europe.
Jordan Ibe – As we’ve said before, sadly for young Ibe, he’s unlikely to get many games in his favoured position until Jon Flanagan returns but with Clyne still not seeming too comfortable at wing back, he’ll provide much more support in the opposition half.
Alberto Moreno – The Spanish wing back has really begun to excel in this role in recent weeks and will no doubt be able to continue his return to form.
