Kroos is apparently unhappy in Madrid and Klopp is looking to take advantage

Over the years we’ve had numerous links with midfielders from Real Madrid and with the transfer window having opened just hours ago, the links and rumours are coming in fast and hard.

The most interesting (and also farcical) one from the today though is that Jurgen Klopp is keen on bringing fellow countryman Toni Kroos to Anfield from Madrid.

Kroos has been at Real since 2014, after making a big money move to the club but has struggled to win a regular place under Rafa Benitez and is thought to be keen to move on in January.

The fact that Kroos as already started 20 games under Benitez, 15 in La Liga would seem to contradict those claims but Kroos is apparently unhappy with Benitez’s management of the team and his form has suffered as a result.

The 25 year old midfielder has played 75 times for Real over the past 18 months and has 62 caps for Germany to go along with numerous Bundesliga, Champions League and various other cups and the experience and quality he would add to the Reds field would be a massive boon for Klopp.

Of course, the fact that these reports originate from the infamous fichajes.net doesn’t help matters but enough sources have run with the story in the past 24 hours but if Liverpool were able to acquire a player of Kroos calibre then it would be a serious coup for the club.

Can you see any chance of the club pulling this off, or is this just another load of nonsense? Let us know your thoughts below.

Gavin, as a life long LFC fan i would like nothing more than that … unfortunately even with Klopp at the helm, and with sides like city, utd and chelsea who have money pouring out of their bungholes, this doesn’t look like a possibility.
