It’s been some time since we’ve watched a Liverpool team prepared to scrap and fight for a result against the odds, but it’s something that’s become more and more of a norm since Jurgen Klopp arrived.
The win over Norwich was as frustrating as it was exciting, with Liverpool fighting back to take the three points. But today, against a Crystal Palace side that have become something of a bogey team for Liverpool in recent years, the Reds fought back from a goal, and a man, down to gain an unlikely victory.
The opening goal was a testament to Roberto Firmino’s hard work and persistence, whilst the winner came from some last-gasp, incisive play from the Reds with just minutes to go.
The team now go into Thursday’s Europa League first leg against Manchester United on the back of three successive Premier League wins for the first time this season and are looking like they’re starting to slowly push through the gears and put a run together.
