Liverpool are seriously interested in signing Lyon winger Rachid Ghezzal, according to Goal.com France. Contract negotiations have stalled between the player and the French club, and it looks likely the player will be sold in the summer, rather than being allowed to leave for nothing next year.

Ghezzal has had a good season with Lyon in Ligue One with 10 goals and 8 assists but he has only started 16 league games, and the club are unwilling to give the player a significant increase in his salary.

The Algerian international is one of the lowest paid at the club and the new offer on the table would only make him the 15th – 20th best paid leading the player to consider his options.

In addition to Liverpool, the 24 year old is interesting the likes of Arsenal, West Ham, Swansea, Stoke City and Paris Saint-Germain whose manager Laurent Blanc is a keen admirer of the player.
