Valenciennes midfielder Angelo Fulgini won’t be joining Bordeaux, according to L’Equipe, Rumours in France had circulated that the right winger had agreed to join the Ligue One side but the French newspaper has denied that the 19 year old is moving clubs.

Fulgini has been linked with Liverpool, Marseille and Nice, with L’Equipe saying that the Reds have “closely followed” the player in recent months. He featured in the Toulon tournament last month as France made the final but lost out to Gareth Southgate’s England U21 side.

The young French star was actually born in the Ivory Coast but has been on Valencienne’s books since 2007. He made his debut for the French club’s B side in 2013 before becoming a first team regular in the club’s main team at the beginning of last season.

He made 35 appearances last season, scoring one goal as the French side finished in twelfth in the Ligue Two table with 44 points.
