Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is interested in bringing back Nuri Sahin to Anfield, according to Turkish website AMK. The 27 year old spent part of the 2012/13 season on loan with the Reds from Real Madrid before rejoining Borussia Dortmund.

Brought in by former manager Brendan Rodgers on loan, the Northern Irishman played him out of position in an attacking midfield role. He usually plays in a holding midfield role but after 6 unhappy months on Merseyside, the loan agreement was terminated and he was allowed to join former side Dortmund on loan before re-joining permanently in April 2014.

In both spells with the German club, he played under Klopp and it’s clear that the Reds boss still rates the midfielder very highly. Although born in Germany, his parents are Turkish and Sahin opted to play for Turkey rather than the country of his birth. He now has 49 caps and was included in the final 23 man squad for the European Championships.
