Valencia are on the verge of signing winger Filip Kostic from Stuttgart for €15million (£12million) according to the local paper Superdeporte. The 23 year old has been tracked by Liverpool, Southampton and Hamburg in recent months.
Kostic has nine caps for Serbia and had a good season in the Bundesliga last campaign with five goals and five assists in 33 matches in all competitions. The Serbian is usually used as a left winger, and looks to be a promising young player.
La Liga side Valencia are said to be in negotiations with Stuttgart regarding the breakdown of the transfer fee with €12million expected to be paid up front with €3m in additional bonuses depending on his appearances and performances at the club. He is said to have already signed a 4 or 5 year deal with a €1.5million a year salary to move to the Mestalla. He will be the Spanish club’s first signing of the summer.
