Italian side Pescara are interested in bringing Anderlecht’s Samuel Bastien back to Italy, according to tuttomercatoweb.com. The Belgian midfielder has been linked with moves to Liverpool and Benfica in recent months.
The 19 year old spent last season out on loan at Serie B side Avellino and could be set to return to playing in Serie A next season with Pescara. The Italian website’s reporter Michele Criscitiello has received information that the newly promoted Serie A outfit is considering a move for Bastien.
Bastien made 31 appearances for Avellino, scoring two goals and providing one assist. Bastien was linked with a £4million move to Liverpool at the start of June with reports from Avellino suggesting that an agreement in principle between the player and the Reds had been made but no deal materialised. The player has had one cap for the Belgium Under 21 side but has yet to make his senior debut for his country.
