Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp has praised the impact of midfielder Ovie Ejaria in the club’s first two preseason friendlies against Tranmere Rovers and Fleetwood Town:
Many fans were praising Ejaria’s performance in the 1-0 win over Tranmere and Klopp echoed their thoughts after the Reds’ 5-0 victory over Fleetwood yesterday. He told the club’s official website:
“Ovie [Ejaria] – what a player, [in] the first game and today again.”
The Reds have a packed friendly fixture schedule before the start of the season. They face Wigan Athletic next Sunday before playing David Wagner’s Huddersfield Town. They will then head over to the United States where they will face Chelsea and AC Milan in the International Champions Cup before facing Roma in St Louis. They will then head back to the UK to face Barcelona in final Champions Cup fixture, while another Reds XI on the same weekend will play a friendly against Klopp’s former side Mainz in Germany.
