Udinese midfielder Piotr Zielinski will sign for Napoli “today or tomorrow,” according to teleclubitalia.it. Their sources close to Udinese have told them that the Polish international’s representatives will meet with Napoli sporting director Cristiano Giuntoli today to finalise the deal.

It was reported at the weekend that Liverpool had a £11.7million bid for Zielinski rejected by Udinese but Napoli had an identical bid accepted as they included defender Juan Camilo Zuniga as part of the deal.

It is believed that Zuniga is a target for Walter Mazzarri’s Watford, and as both the Hornets and Udinese are owned by the Pozzo family, Zuniga could then be sent out on loan to the Premier League side once the Zielinski deal is done.

The Reds have been frustrated in their search for a central midfielder this summer with number one target Borussia Monchengladbach’s Mahmoud Dahoud also unlikely to be sold this summer. Gladbach are unwilling to let another important player leave after selling Swiss international Granit Xhaka to Arsenal.
