Liverpool target Ante Coric has denied that Napoli are interested in signing him. The 19 year old has been linked with the club in Italy in recent days but the Croatian international has been quick to refute the claims.

The Dinamo Zagreb midfielder is subject to a €15million from Liverpool according to reports in his native Croatia but Coric believes that Napoli have not shown any interest in him. He told Vecernji (quotes translated by Football-Italia.net):

“There is no truth in that. Napoli are a great club, but they are of no interest to me. I haven’t heard anyone from there and can say there is nothing concrete in this. For now I am under contract with Dinamo, then we’ll see what happens.”

A number of Dinamo players are interesting top European clubs after Croatia’s performances at the European Championships. Winger Marko Pjaca, who has also been heavily linked with Liverpool, is the subject of interest from three Italian clubs in Juventus, AC Milan and Napoli, while central midfielder Marko Rog was part of a €35m joint bid from Napoli for him and Pjaca. Whatever happens, Dinamo look set to make a huge profit from the sale of some of their most sought after players this summer.
