Fiorentina have sealed the loan signing of winger Cristian Tello from Barcelona. The Corriere Dello Sport have reported that Tello opted against moving to Liverpool, Tottenham, Swansea or Valencia.
The Spaniard was on loan at the Italian club from January last season cutting short his two year loan spell at Porto after failing to break into the the Portuguese club’s first team at the start of last campaign.
The new loan agreement between Fiorentina and Barcelona sees Tello going on a season long loan to the Serie A side with the Viola having an option to buy the Spanish international for between €7m and €8m next summer.
Tello has spent six years at Barca, two out on loan, and although the 25 year old was once tipped as a future first team regular at the Camp Nou, he didn’t develop to the level they were expecting and they were hoping to sell the winger permanently this summer but have had to settle for another loan deal.
