Liverpool have reignited their interest in signing Milan left back Mattia De Sciglio, according to Sport Mediaset. The Rossoneri need to sell before they buy players but with the sale of Carlos Bacca faltering, they are looking to sell 23 year old De Sciglio instead this summer.

Sport Mediaset believe the left back will be available for €18million or £15million with Liverpool the frontrunners for the player. The Reds have only one left back in Alberto Moreno after selling Brad Smith to Bournemouth. Their attempts to buy Ben Chilwell from Leicester City came to nothing after the 19 year old signed a new deal to stay at the Premier League champions.

Napoli are also believed to have a long standing interest in De Sciglio but it isn’t believed they could afford the €18million Milan are demanding for the player. Other clubs linked previously with the player include Juventus, who have already signed one full back Dani Alves on a free transfer already this summer while Bayern Munich don’t likely to bid for full back, leaving the Reds as the sole interested party.
