New Juventus signing Marko Pjaca’s agent has confirmed that Liverpool, along with AC Milan, Borussia Dortmund, Wolfsburg, Fiorentina and Schalke were all interested in signing the Croatian winger before he moved to the Serie A champions.

In an interview with Italian newspaper Tuttosport Marko Naletilic revealed that Pjaca wanted to go to Juve despite the fact he may have got more game time if he went to the Reds or AC Milan:

“Sure. If his priorities had been to have a permanent (first team) position, he would choose other teams. There was plenty of choice: AC Milan , Liverpool, Borussia Dortmund , Schalke, Wolfsburg, Fiorentina … Marko, however, wanted at all costs to go to Juventus. And I assure you that at Milan and other clubs he could earn almost twice as much.”

The winger lit up Croatia’s European Championships after playing an important role in the team’s 2-1 victory over Spain, while he also came on a substitute in the last 16 clash against eventual Euro 2016 winners Portugal. The 21 year old signed for Juventus on a five year contract for €23million at the end of July.

The Reds have been linked with a long list of wingers this summer even after signing Sadio Mane from Southampton for £30million. There have been confirmed bids for Pjaca and Joao Mario of Sporting Lisbon as well the Reds signing Georginio Wijnaldum for Newcastle for £25million who played a great deal of last season on the left wing.
