Wolverhampton Wanderers, QPR and Aston Villa are all interested in signing Liverpool midfielder Luis Alberto, according to the Liverpool Echo.

The Spaniard has struggled for game time since he arrived from Sevilla for £6.8million back in 2013, but he had an impressive loan spell at Deportivo La Coruna in La Liga last season, making 29 appearances, scoring six goals and providing seven assists.

Hi performances brought Alberto to the attention of his old club Sevilla once again but the Echo believe the Spanish club have pulled out of the deal due to Liverpool’s £6million asking price for the player.

That has allowed the three Championship clubs to enter the running for the 23 year old. Wolves and Villa are now both under Chinese ownership, and should be able to meet the Reds’ demands, which also includes addon fees if Alberto makes enough appearances for his new club. Whether Alberto is willing to move to another English club rather than return to Spain is not known.
