Liverpool will hold talks with Adam Lallana about signing a new contract to stay at Anfield, according to the reputable Paul Joyce in the Daily Express. The 28 year old has had an excellent start to the season scoring for both club and country.

Despite struggling for form since he joined from Southampton in 2014, the midfielder has been a firm favourite of manager Jurgen Klopp who is a fan of both his work on and off the ball.

Currently the England international has a contract that expires in 2019, but usually when a club wants to keep a player they offer a new deal before they get into the final two years of their contract so it is not surprising that negotiations are under way.

How long the contract will be, we will have to wait and see. Lallana will be 30 when his current deal expires so it may only be a one or two year extension.
