Liverpool midfielder Cameron Brannagan is determined to make a breakthrough into the Reds first team under Jurgen Klopp and is doing everything he can on the training pitch in order to get noticed.

The 20 year old has also outlined the areas of where he wants to improve as a footballer in an interview with the club’s official website:

“I think there’s loads to my game that I can improve on. I’m only a young lad and there’s loads that I’m working on at the minute – my finishing around the box, my weaker foot, I was practising free-kicks and corners as much as I could.”

“I’m always there working with the manager and the coaching staff after training. I’d like to add more goals to my game. When we’re attacking, the manager wants as many people in the box as possible.”

Reports have linked Brannagan with a move to Barcelona in the past year or so, but more recently a loan move to Championship side Wigan Athletic collapsed due the to Latics failing to agree to a six figure compensation package if Brannagan failed to play 75% of games whilst out on loan this season.

The failure of the loan move before transfer deadline day means Brannagan will have to continue his development in Michael Beale’s Under 23 side this season. The level of play is not very high; something that has led manager Jurgen Klopp to change his stance on loan deals. With changes in the rules on emergency loans, Brannagan will have to wait until January for another chance of going out on loan if he doesn’t get more game time at Anfield.
