Liverpool could make a second attempt to sign Borussia Dortmund Christian Pulisic in the January transfer window, according to Sports Illustrated.

Journalist Grant Wahl says the Reds may “make another run” for the American international either in January or in the summer after the 18 year old reportedly wanted to delay contract talks until the end of the season to see what kind of playing time he will get under Thomas Tuchel this campaign.

Wahl also reports that Pulisic rejected a five year contract from Dortmund back in April which has also increased speculation over his future in recent months. The American currently has a deal which runs until 2019 but the player believes he will merit a far higher salary if he continues being a first team regular.

Pulisic has broken into the starting eleven in the past few weeks after an impressive performance against Legia Warsaw in the Champions League, starting the last three matches for the Bundesliga club with one goal and three assists.
