Liverpool are tracking developments with Yannick Carrasco and his contract negotiations at Atletico Madrid, according to AS. The 23 year old contracts expires in 2020 and the Belgian is in talks regarding a new deal.
If a new contract can’t be agreed however,the Reds, along with Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City could all look to make a move for the Belgian star.
Carrasco has been one of Diego Simeone’s star performers as Atletico sit top of the La Liga table after eight matches played. AS report that the forward is keen to stay at the Vicente Calderon but he wants to be financially rewarded for his efforts on the pitch this season.
The player currently has a €40million buyout clause in his contract which the Spanish club are keen to increase, but if no new agreement over a new deal is reached, it is certainly something the Reds and other clubs could exploit.
