Liverpool along with a host of other clubs are interested in Monaco forward Kylian Mbappe, according to the Mundo Deportivo.

The Spanish newspaper say Barcelona in particular have been scouting the 17 year old with their scouts comparing him to a “young Thierry Henry.” They were said to be left open jawed by the ability of the youngster.

Barca, Liverpool, Real Madrid, Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Borussia Dortmund, Chelsea, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain, Manchester City and Manchester United are all said to be monitoring Mbappe’s situation.

Mundo Deportivo also report that Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane was so keen on Mbappe when he watched him at France’s Clarefontaine academy at the age  of 14 that he asked him to train in Madrid, but the player turned down the offer.

Mbappe made his debut for Monaco in December last year in a 1-1 draw against Caen and so far has scored one league goal, in a 3-1 win over Troyes, making him the youngest goalscorer in the club’s history, beating Thierry Henry’s record.
