Paris Saint-Germain striker Edinson Cavani is considering a move to the Premier League, and is stalling on a three year contract extension to stay at the French club, according to Tuttomercatoweb.

The Italian website report that this has alerted both Liverpool and Arsenal who are looking for a striker that fits Cavani’s profile. The Uruguayan’s contract expires in the summer of 2018 and PSG would be unwilling to allow him to leave in 20 months time on a free transfer after paying Napoli €64million in 2013.

The striker only turns 30 in February, and PSG will most likely give him the option of signing a new contract or being transferred next summer if he is unwilling to sign a new deal.

Tuttomercatoweb say Cavani has already decided that he wants to leave PSG despite now finally becoming the club’s main striker after the departure of Zlatan Ibrahimovic this summer. He has set his sights on England with the Reds and the Gunners currently the front runners.
