Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain have now joined Liverpool in the race to sign forward Inaki Williams from Athletic Bilbao, according to Don Balon.

The Spanish publication believe that the three clubs “are willing to fight very hard” for the 22 year old, and are not put off by the player’s €50million buyout clause that Bilbao have inserted in his contract.

The Spaniard, who has Ghanaian and Liberian parents, has made nine appearances so far this season but has yet to score with just one solitary assist to his name. He is however one of the Europe’s most highly rated young players with his ability to play on either wing as well as up front demonstrating his flexibility; an asset which Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is particularly keen to have in his players.

Williams made his debut for Spain against Bosnia & Herzegovina back in May although he has been back with the Spanish Under 21 side in the last two international breaks.
