Liverpool have been named in tenth place among European elite clubs for the total transfer value of their players by the Football Observatory.

The Reds are valued at €356m or £311m while fellow Premier League side Manchester United had a squad valued at €718million, double that of the Merseyside club.

There are also three other Premier League clubs ahead of Liverpool on the list with Manchester City third on €611million while Chelsea are valued fifth on €481million and Arsenal  eighth, valued at €381million.

The Premier League table looks like Liverpool are the ones getting value for money currently though with the Reds three points ahead of their North-West rivals heading into the Derby on 17th October. The Reds currently sit fourth in the league table while United’s draw against Stoke City at the weekend means they sit sixth.

The full list can be found on the Football Observatory’s website here.
