Inter Milan and AC Milan are both considering offers for Liverpool defender Mamadou Sakho in the January transfer window, according to Le Parisien.

The French newspaper reports that both Milan clubs have scouted the French international and may step up their interest in the next few weeks.

The 26 year old has not played any part in Jurgen Klopp’s first team plans this season, and has been restricted to games for the club’s Under 23 side after rejecting loan moves to Stoke and West Bromwich Albion in the summer.

The Frenchman sees his future at the top end of the table, and has all but ruled out a return to France, according to Le Parisien, because of his high wage demands. Marseille were linked with the centre back but the speculation grew out from manager Rudi Garcia’s desire to sign him when he was manager of Roma.

It seems then that the two Milan clubs look like the most likely destinations for the defender but as yet, no formal interest has been expressed in the Liverpool outcast.
