Tony Banks in the Daily Express is reporting that Jurgen Klopp is prepared to allow Liverpool striker Daniel Sturridge leave in the January transfer window.

The England international has started just four times in the league this season after falling behind Roberto Firmino in the pecking order at Anfield.

The Express is also reporting that Southampton are lining up a loan offer for Sturridge in view to a permanent transfer worth in the region of £25million at the end of the season, if the loan spell proves successful.

The Saints are believed to want to assess the fitness of Sturridge who has had a succession of injuries over the past few years which have limited his minutes on the pitch for the Reds.

Ironically, the 27 year old is going through a long spell without suffering any injury setbacks but the Saints and West Ham are both reportedly after a loan deal initially.
